 The Inside Scoop’s 2007 Political Prognosticators
World Series Final Standings

Who would have thought that the Boston Red Sox would win this year’s World Series?  Well Scoop Sports expert Brad Robinson did.  In March, in the pages of The Inside Scoop, Robinson correctly predicted the Red Sox to win this year’s Fall Classic. Robinson, from Valparaiso, Indiana and on a roll, correctly picked last year’s pro football champion, the Indianapolis Colts, in the pages of Scoop as well.  Congratulations Brad!

Robinson was just one of the 11 participants competing in the first ever Scoop Political Prognosticators World Series.  Back in March each participant predicted how they thought every team in major league baseball would finish their seasons.  The prognosticators were also asked to pick wild card winners, the leagues’ pennant winners and World Series champion.  Robinson was the only prognosticator to pick the Red Sox as World Series champs.

The regular season winner was the Department of Homeland Security’s Ryan Eddy.  He had an amazing “.500 batting average” with his predictions.  The regular season second place winner was Matt Kamke with a “.467 batting average”, and third place went to Chris Mehring, the voice of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, with a “.433 batting average” on the regular season.

The roster of political prognosticators included:

Chris Mehring, the voice of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, the Seattle Mariners Class A affiliate in the Midwest League;

John Gard, most recently 8th Congressional District Candidate, former Speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly and current contributor to The Inside Scoop;

Mark Graul, current political consultant, former campaign chairman of Mark Green’s gubernatorial bid and former chief of staff to former Congressman Mark Green;

Ted Kanavas, current Wisconsin State Senator, youth baseball league coach and Brewer fan;

Brandon Rosner, was the campaign chairman of the Gard for Congress campaign;

Brad Robinson, The Inside Scoop’s resident football expert and resident of Valparaiso, Indiana. 

Matt Kamke, worked on the political campaigns of Russ Darrow, Bush/Cheney Wisconsin 2004, John Gard, and Dean Kaufert;

Dave Hutchison, former Wisconsin State Assembly Representative from Wisconsin’s 1st Assembly district;

Ryan Eddy, the Policy Advisor to the Director of the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office, Department of Homeland Security and former White House staffer;

Dan Romportl, former Northeast Iowa Field Representative for Tommy Thompson’s 2008 Presidential Campaign and 2006 Republican Party of Wisconsin Get Out TheVote (GOTV) guru;

Rick Sense, life long baseball fan and editor of The Inside Scoop.
