Appleton’s Own Makes NASCAR Biggest Fan Final Vote Back in October of 2008, the O’Kane family of Appleton submitted a tour of their NASCAR-themed basement to the NASCAR Biggest Fan competition. On January 8th, Dennis O’Kane, patriarch of the O'Kane clan, was notified that his family’s tour was selected as one of 20 finalists in NASCAR’s Biggest Fan competition. Earlier this winter, viewers of the Scoop Web site were able to click on a link and view (and then hopefully vote for) the O’Kane’s entry into the Biggest Fan contest. The film was produced by New London native Josh Koeller and is titled “The Basement.” In the film, the high-school aged Koeller captures the O’Kane’s NASCAR-themed basement for the world to see. Judges of the contest were impressed by what they saw and selected it as one of the final 20 submissions from all over the United States for final consideration. Congratulations O’Kanes, and young filmmaker Josh Koeller on your selection by the NASCAR Biggest Fan judges! Click www.nascarsbiggestfan.com to view the entry. View pictures below:
